Cacti just don't do a thing for me - until they bloom! I think it is one of the Creator's biggest jokes that he put such lovely blooms on such unfriendly plants.

Fantastic shot. I love the detail in the overlap of the spines. This cactus is very lovely. The cacti here are not blooming yet. We need a rain badly.

This is a Mammillaria cactus. It is about the size of a soup can and always blooms in a circle around the top. To me they look like cubby little girls with a wreath of flowers in their hair.
