WOW! Such a beautiful and gorgeous layout - so full of amazing techniques and details! I love the photos and you scrapped them absolutely beautifully, my friend!
You confirmed my biggest fears, being stranded on a boat with no relief or land in sight! Kudos to you for trying it out...not me!!! Wonderful layout, love how you did your embellishments and the chipboard!
absolutely fabulous lo. love the layers of embellies and texture behind the pics. Glad you were able to make the most of your trip once the rough seas subsided.
ARGH! So sorry you got sick, but glad you have some good memories of the trip! Beautiful page. Love the circles and the fun, floral, sea shell cluster. I also love the colors!!! :o)
Ugh! I feel for you. I've suffered on two cruises like this and have finally decided they're not for me. Not fun! But this is a gorgeous page!! I love all the sea shells and the texture inside the circle. Glad you came away with a few nice memories to scrap.
Just reading your journaling made me sea sick! Glad to hear all turned out well! I love how you did the bubbles in the circle and the cute seashells! That's a great pic of you too!
So glad you ended having a nice time anyway. I got sick going to Catalina so I sure can relate. Love those circles, the stenciling, pprs, colors, chipboard, lovely photo :) and great design!!
Glad the storm didn't hang around too long! I love your layout, especially the masking, and bird. The red & black in the circles really add that touch of drama!
Love this! Fabulous design. We've been on many cruises and one of the best advise I ever received was to start taking Dramamine 1 everyday 3 days before you ever get on the ship and then one each morning while on the ship whether you think you need it or not. It has always worked for us. Oh, and get a balcony cabin so you can get some fresh air while you are in your room.
Great story to go with a great lo! Sorry you got sick, but thank goodness it wasn't from the food! Love the colors & that blue sky is amazing. I like the looks of the circles, sea shells, & well just EVERYTHING!:)
Sure sorry your cruise experience was so bad. Hope you have gone on another one since. Beautiful LO. I love what you did with the circles and the seashell cluster is magnificient.
Great way to scrap memories of a cruise. I LOVE those bubble details in the circle. Very pretty! (We did a cruise to the Bahamas in 2011, and my mom and I both got sick. It wasn't a huge ship, and when the boat was anchored at night, it rocked a lot.)
I went on a cruise to Nassau, Bahamas in 2000. A male friend of mine was going to a company getaway and I was able to go along for free! It was great, until apparently we ran into rough waters. I was sitting in the bar when I noticed several people walking by that looked really drunk (because of the way they were walking)! Then I started feeling sick...uh oh! I tried to go to the "dress up" dinner that night, but as I got to the table and saw the food...ughhh...my friend had to walk me back to the room and I took some meds for seasickness. All the way back to the room people were getting sick...oh my! The next morning, I looked out the porthole window in our room and saw land and palm trees, I laid back down and when I got up again the land was gone! Apparently the water was too rough to dock. We were on one of the biggest ships in the cruise line and usually people don't get sick. We ended up having a really good time once the storm passed and I was so happy to get off the boat when we landed in the Bahamas!
I used the Kaisercraft Blubelle papers for this layout. Something about the colors made me think of the sea and seashells. The chipboard circles are Blue Fern.
Thank you so much for taking a look! I really appreciate the encouraging comments!
