So pretty. I like the painted texture in the background and all the dimension of the flowers and especially the fish. Like too the bricks, wood pattern and the distressed edges of the mat's layers. Should be a nice memorial piece.
What a beautiful pic which forever captures a moment to be cherished. Love the blues and greens together along with the fish. A beautiful tribute to her Pa Pa!
Awww.....this one just got me! I love it! So sorry about Nealy's "Pa Pa" but what a wonderful memory for her. This is absolutely beautiful, yet masculine too. Love the burlap, fish, and how you framed that very sweet photo. You never cease to amaze me with your creativity!
My fav from you I think. Love the design and the fish - wow I am so very sorry about her PaPa. I love that photo and the memory you hav preserved for her. precious and so very YOU....kindhearted and so thoughtful and just a blessing to so many. Gorgeous work -and condolances
Beautiful color choices--springy delight! Love how you combined flowers with fish! My fish layouts always seem to be so masculine & this was a delightful change! TFS!
Off the charts gorgeous w/ texture and color! (wasn't the crackle worth the wait!?:) lol Such clever layering behind the photo. Love the Gesso-type masking; amazing work~
what a sweet photo and it will be beautiful in a frame! the way you used the burlap is just perfect and inspires me! love the grass paper layer, oh I just love it all!
This photo reminds me of a picture I have of my daughter, Katie, when she was that age! She was fishing with her dad. She even has a pink and white striped top, too! anyway, I absolutley love the photo and your scrapbook page!
Oh Donna!!!! I absolutely LOVE that fab photo!!!! And you scrapped it beautifully GF! I love how you've transformed this Nature theme into a fab feminine beauty! All my nature lo's have a masculine look. TFS!
This is just perfect Donna! The beautiful colors go so well together! LOVE the different textures and layering and stenciling. Fantastic job! Of course the photo completes the look of the LO. A fav for me!
Frankly, I don't know where to start to comment on how freakin' astounding your LO is. You managed to make fishing look fun and beautiful all at the same time. The circle with the flowers and burlap is so creative. You outdid yourself on this one. It is going right into my favs.
Wow. Wonderful work you have done here on this gorgeous memorable page. Love the stenciling, torn paper layers, beautiful flowers, the burlap, cute little fishies and design!! Such a sweet heartfelt photo.
Wow! What a great job you did on this layout! Love the layers of torn paper, flowers, frame, fishies and what a cute photo! It will be something she will always treasure. Great technique work!
This is beautiful! Love the overall design, the crackle, the chipboard really ties it together and the fish with burlap touches are awesome. Very touching.
This is a layout of my granddaughter Nealy and her Pa Pa fishing. It looks like she is the one teaching him to fish! That's so Nealy! her Pa Pa passed away a few weeks ago and I made this for her to take to the out of town memorial service next week. I'm going to put it in a brown or wood stained frame.
I used Bo Bunny Prairie Chic paper, lots of mini Petaloo flowers, and this is the first time I actually had the patience to let the TH crackle paint crackle! I usually start spraying colors on the crackle paint and mess it up! It looks really cool if you do it right! LOL
I also had some fun dribbling different colored crackle paints on top of each other. That was fun and I was surprised to see how it turned out! I also used a lot of pop dots to give dimension to specific areas of the page.
I think it will look really nice once I find a shadow box frame for it. Thank you so much for dropping by! I really appreciate your sweet comments, and I love the opportunity to check out your gallery!
I have a new blog and would love it if you stopped by to say hello! ([email protected])
