Very nice and I know how you feel about the photo. I had the same problem and I'm reluctant to let that "beached whale" photo be seen or even to scrapbook it. I didn't even look happy to be a mom because I felt so bad still.
such a nice memory to capture and honey, we all look like that, actually i think you look pretty darn good for that long of labor! i love this LO, very pretty colors and i love how you did the ribbon
Beautiful journaling! I too had a pitocin induced labor which I was in labor for 40 hours!!!! Then had a c section! YUCK, I know how you feel because I too was sooooooooooooo swollen from all the crap pumped into me. You look awesome, I should send you a picture of me at that time. LOL You could drive a tractor through my nose. lol... Well great layout and what a beautiful baby girl! Love her name by the way!
Great job--I think it looks pretty good the way it is. Deedah, maybe you could chalk the edges of those green letters a brown a little so they mix more with the page and add a big green photo corner to the lower left side of the pic to tie it all together. HTH
CHT: Great colors and fun flowers. I'm wish buzz about that empty space. I would suggest mounting the photo on a thicker matte and then moving it to the left. Watch out for "floating" embellishments such as the brown flower. Floating elements tend to stop the eye from being guided around the page. To ground it, you could move it slightly to the edge of the photo which would bring more attention to the photo since it's the most important part of the page. Nice work! Hope these suggestions help.
CHT: Love the colors you used for this page: the brown, pink and pale yellow. Great use of the flowers and rounded corners. The only thing I can see is the empty space between the ribbons and the pic. Maybe add a couples of decorated tags or embellies??
And where on earth did you hide your hidden journalling?? lol cant figure iti out!! lol
Great page! Love the journaling.
Please excuse the bad photo of me...15 hours of very rough pitocin induced labor, pre eclampsia, and swelling like a beached whale don't make for the best photo op!

Hidden journaling reads - It was in this moment that I realized all of the troubles Daddy & I went through to bring you here were completely worth it. All of the braxton hicks contractions, the constant heartburn, my ankles & feet swelling up to a not so pretty size, 15 hours of pitocin induced labor, the pre eclampsia, the constant problems with sciatica...all of it! The first time they showed me your gorgeous little face, you smiled at me. It was only a brief second because they had to work on you to make sure you were breathing right & take you to NICU to monitor you closely. But you smiled, you smiled as if you had known I was your Mommy. I know that later in life we will bump heads because you will think you're so grown & mature, and I will not want to admit that every day you do grow a little more...and I know that the very smile you first gave me when our eyes met will more than likely be the very smile that I will never be able to say no to...but would I change it for anything within this universe? Not a chance! In this moment I vowed to be the very best Mommy I can be, and I can only hope that to you my Sweet Rayna, that it is up to par. I love you my precious angel!
