My family is not very good at remembering holidays. I usually do most of the Christmas shopping & birthday shopping. But it really isn't as fun to shop for yourself as it is to be surprised. I usually get upset on holidays like Mother's Day or my birthday because my family so often forgets to do anything nice for me on those days. It's not about getting gifts it's just about being remembered and thought of. So on this particular Mother's Day my family had a big surprise for me. They let the whole day go by before they gave me my Mother's Day gift. I thought another year had gone by and they didn't remember or bother to do anything nice. And then at the end of the day they surprised me with flowers and a locket. We all get a big laugh out of it now.
