I didn't realize you were in Ohio. I just went to the Cleveland zoo in August with CatScrapsHere. I love how using the ? made your journaling have a different perspective.
Love the title and the big question mark! Interesting facts about orangutans, too! Never would have guessed that they would have O.C.D.!! :) (maybe that's where my son gets it!!)
I really enjoyed your journaling on this one Shannon! I didn't know any of that. Really great photos, and your design is so cool! Loving the big question mark!
Very interesting! I love the papers you used and how the title is between the stitched lines. And the spattering of circles ties the design together well. Great pictures, you can see the intelligence in his eyes.
I once heard that if you gave a camera to a chimpanzee, a gorilla and an orang-utan, the chimp will smash it, the gorilla will take it apart and the orang-utan will take it apart and put it all back together again :) This is a great lo - love the pics and the facts you included!
This is for the following challenges: November Scraplift Your favorites and it is a scraplift of http://www.scrapbook.com/myplace/index.php?mod=galleries&u=84975&m=view&id=2839149&type=-1&start=40&page=1&f=1 November Theme Park challenge - use punctuation on lo. The journaling reads: A tour guide was talking to a group about the orangutans and I overheard some interesting facts! The orangutan is very methodical. If you fill a brown paper lunch bag with popcorn and fold it over, the orangutan will try to figure out how to unfold it and then pick each kernel out one by one and eat it. A gorilla will just tear the bag apart and shovel handfuls into his mouth. Also, there is a sprinkler system on the outside of the enclosure that the orangutan controls from the inside. If the pushes the button, people will get wet. When they first installed it, one of the orangutans would push it over and over again but as time went on, he would approach the button and put his finger up to it but instead of pushing it, he would run away Also, one time somebody pushed a quarter from the outside into the inside of the enclosure. The orangutan folded it in half with a thumb and one finger. Then he tried to trade it for something on the zookeepers shelf. They often try to strike deals. While the zookeeper was talking about the orangutan, it was following the group with his little purple chair. He would sit in it in front of the glass. Who knew they were so smart?
