***wiping tears**** ....your words are so beautiful and the song you chose for this is lovely!!!....what a wonderful thing for your children to have your thoughts on this!...great page!
OH my this is so touching. i love the journaling. It is so true for my children too, since my father is no longer with us. We tell them when it rains it is grandpa crying cause he misses them so much.
This is for 2 challenges. The October RR Scraplift and the October AGC. Journaling on the back on the LO reads: A letter to my grandchildren:
This is one of the few pictures I have of your grandfather before he became ill. In just a couple of years after this picture was taken, he was no longer with us.
I just wanted you to know that he loved his family dearly and there would be no other reason he would have left us. He so enjoyed being a grandfather for the first time. I remember seeing the tears fall from his eyes on the day Denisha and Devon were born. Even though he is no longer here, I know he would have shed the same tears on the day each and every one of you were born. My only regret is that you will never feel the warmth of his smile, the strength of his hug and the tremendous amount of love he would have felt for all of you.
Just know that even though you will never get to know him, each and every one of you will always have a guardian angel by your side. When you feel the warmth of the sun, that will be your grandfather smiling down on you. When you feel the rain on your skin, those are the tears he sheds because he cannot be here for you.
Always know he is by your side and loves you with all his heart and you are never alone.
Love Grandma
On the bottom of the LO are the lyrics to a Vince Gill song....Go rest High on that mountain
