We celebrate a Merry Un-Christmas with our friends every year, and this photo was taken when another close friend joined in for the first time. We call it a ‘Merry Un-Christmas’ to be like the ‘Happy Un-Birthday’ tea party in Alice in Wonderland! It’s basically another Christmas celebration, with a roast dinner, present swapping, and games, but celebrated on a different day because we are usually with family on December 25th.

I went to town with Elle’s Studio Noel items on this page, including the ‘Fa La La La La, La La La La’ chalkboard paper, and the red chevron ‘Candy Cane’ paper on top, which I stitched with gold thread. My machine kept break the thread so I ran the paper through the machine with no thread in it to make the holes in a straight line, then painstakingly hand stitched all the gold!
