I didn't take my daughter to the dr. for 1 day-she just seemed fine. She ended up breaking her arm and needed 3 pins. I like how you did the title and the journaling is great!
Been there. My dd fell off her bike. Being the "drama queen" she was, I told her to rest and it would get better. 5 hours later we're in the ER and she has a broken arm! You scrapped this event beautifully!
I can relate, my younger brother fell off the back fence and grizzled about his arm. I actually held his hand and wobbled his arm around and went 'See, everything's fine'. He got taken to the doctor that night and after x-rays we found out he had a broken wrist.
lol, what a cute story! my mother one told me not to go the dr. of course I was in another state so she coudn't see the ankle that had swollen to at least twice its normal size.
I can relate to this same story not once but twice...LOL...with 7 kids and two different brakes you would think after not believing the first brake happened I would learn and never make the same mistake, well I did. My DS broke his arm while riding a bike. He was my dramatic son and thought, He will be ok but as the day wore on and he said his bone was moving. I fianlly took him in and sure enough it was broken and he even had to have surgury due to where the brake happened.....bad mom #1....My dd plays sports (softball to be exact) the coach used her as an example to show the girls how to slide. Jillian did this perfectly...she did a beautiful slide into 3rd base and didn't get up. I told her to shake it off but she cried for an hour and I took her in and her leg was broken above the ankle.....bad mom #2...Now I go in for anything only to have them say It's not broken...LOL...ok sorry for the book but you aren't alone. Cute page love the bright colors.
Aww! What a cute LO! Don't feel bad about what happened-- sometimes the best lessons learned are the hard ones! Maybe next time she'll listen to her mommy!
Awww, so sorry your dd hurt herself!! but what a cute l/o, she looks pretty proud of her cast in the photo :)...you used the perfect ppr to compliment the photo and love the glitter letters...BTW don't feel to bad about not knowing sometimes it's really hard to tell with things like that!
LO of DD with her cast. * Journaling reads: "No leaning in the computer chair!" I told you this time and time again, but you just wouldn't listen... Over the chair went, landing on top of you. * You screamed and hours after kept saying, "my bone broke". We looked at your hand, but everything seemed normal. I figured it was just bruised. * Even the teacher thought you were doing your normal 'anything for attention' routine. * Four days after you crashed in the chair, I decided to take you to the doctor if for nothing more than to reassure you. * Turns out, you broke TWO bones in your wrist! * I felt like such a terrible mom!
