I did this layout as a Christmas gift for my best friend. Her mom passed away a few years ago - and this was her favorite photo of her. She has no idea I did this. I think she'll be surprised Christmas. I just have to frame it yet. I also added rub on black swirls/hearts in some spots. I was up till 1:00am doing this - and then took the photo...I added the swirls this morning before work. Sorry for the glare! Oh...and I wrote the poem!! :-)
The Visit
If I could wish for just one thing
it would be for a visit from you,
I'd pour you a cup of coffee
and here's what I'd say and do.
I'd tell you of all that you have missed
it seems like it's been so long,
I'd ask you if you've felt the hugs I've sent
all the days that you've been gone.
I'd kiss your cheek one final time
as I ask you not to leave,
You'll say that your time is up for now
you'd tell me not to grieve.
I'd love to laugh and talk to you
and I'll fill your cup once more,
if only you'd come for that long needed visit
Oh, how I wish you'd to come to my door.
