The Flood of '66

The Journaling reads: So, it wasn't really a flood exactly, but it did come right up to the back door! We had a lot of rain that Spring and the small creek just behind our house caught all the run off. Since the rain was coming down faster than it could drain, the water kept rising. The bottom of the creek was probably 4 to5 feet below our lawn level, so it was a lot of water and it was flowing very fast. My kids wanted to put a boat in! But Mom said “NO”!
The water never got into the house and it was gone in 24 hours.
