This layout has been hanging over my head for two weeks, looking for the components to get it done.
I had a picture of me holding my daughter at the botanical garden that I really liked and the idea for doing a gothical style layout.
I used a LOT of different techniques in this. Cutout of image. Gradient layer fills for coloring and lighting, brushes of angel statuary to create a background. Image manipulation, pen tablet for all the journaling. Layer styles and filters for textures. Blend modes.
This is actually more of a digital painting, since only the photo's that went into it orginally existed. No digital kit items, no fonts. The journaling is hand written using the pen tablet.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this one and forgive me the presumption of giving myself angel wings, but when I comes to my children I feel like I must always be playing the role of guardian angel to them.
