For the Father's Day part of [url=http://www.scrapbook.com/forums/showtopic.php?ff/on/tid/1369999/]June Theme Challenge [/url]

I decided I needed to use some of those old pictures sitting in an album going back before I was born. My dad's always been a Jack of All Trades. He grew up as a boy in WW II Germany and came to the US and an immigrants visa so he could visit all of his relatives here longer. The US promptly drafted him into the Army. He learned english there and was in Elvis's army troop.

All my life I felt lucky to have my dad. He was never short on hugs or spankings. He kept my brother and I in line, but loved us and made sure we were happy to the best of his abilities.

So I was happy about the opportunity to do a layout for this theme that shows how much he means to me.

I wanted to use the old pictures so I had to create a whole retro set of pp to go with them. I ended up making about twenty of these in different shades and patterns until I decided I had a proper set to match the photo's. If you like them let me know and I'll see if I can create a kit based around them. Lord knows I have enough components for a kit now.
