Journaling Reads:

Mom's Table . . . I often wondered why I was always compelled to take a picture of my Mom's table at the Holidays. I mean, besides the fact that it's always very beautifully set, it's just a table isn't it? To the untrained eye, this may look like your ordinary average dining room table decorated for the holidays. To me, and I suspect the majority of the members of my family, it's just so much more. You see, the more time goes by, the busier we all seem to get. But when we're at Mom's table, time stands still. Mom's table is for playing, laughing, sharing, catching up. It's for being with the people that mean the most to you. See, I could take a picture of Mom's table with someone sitting in every chair, but this way, I can just stare at this picture and fill up the chairs in my minds eye with those people who belong there, those people with whom I enjoy spending my time over anyone else. Then, I can think about my Mom, who sets each place with care, with loving thoughts of each person who will sit there . . . today, yesterday and tomorrow.

I created this layout as part of the May ANYTHING GOES challenge. It's been something I've been thinking about doing, the challenge got me there!
