pubbed in July/August 09 Scrap 'n Art. Seriously I had way too much fun with this! This is a room in a dollhouse that my dad made for my daughter, it's a HUGE dollhouse! But it's all bare wood finish inside, so it needs to be done up nicely :) On this room I painted it pink and applied a Hambly rub-on to the wall above the fireplace. That fireplace was a horrible dark brown piece that we rescued from a garage sale, so I painted it white to match the rest of the room. The blue/green/white surfaces are all paper! I mod podged it to the floor and added 3 coats on top. It looks and feels just like linoleum, so fun! The window treatment was super simple, I just used glue to fashion it together, and the fireplace mat was just cut with a fringe on one side.
The mantlepiece was created with a white button "plate" and I glued decorative flowers to make a centerpiece. TFL!
