I love the long days of summer and the break from our school year routine. One of our favorite things to do is have a cousins' sleepover. We spend a few days at the waterpark, beach and boardwalk. The kids look forward to it every year. This photo marks the very first day of the sleepover week.I wanted to use a bold color palette to set this photo off. I started with two insert pages from Simple Stories' I Heart Summer line. Although they are meant for their 6x8 binders, I used them to layer under the photo. The bright yellow die cut page was further embellished with stitching and enamel dots. It looks almost good enough to eat!The blackboard page adds a contrast and title to the page. I used the July printables from Two Peas to add a little something to the chipboard slide. A cork sticker in the center adds more text and dimension. I tucked a hot pink tag and contrasting teal paper to the layers for pops of color. Lastly, you can't go wrong with a few strips of washi. A few at the top to ‘tape’ the yellow die cut sheet down. And a long strip at the bottom adds a bit more hot pink to the layout. The flag and #3 sticker add the final touches to this bold summer page.
