A pocket full of hearts is the main embellishment on this colorful Valentine's page. While the colors are not traditional, it's covered in hearts and Valentine sentiment. I used a large Thicker font to quote a part of my son's very first love note. I wanted the “who” and “what” to take center stage on this page.I cut out different sized hearts with the Silhouette to achieve a whimsical and layered collage of hearts. They were adhered with dimensional foam squares to give them a little lift and decorated with enamel dots for more texture. The paper bag is functional (holding those hearts together) and also serves as my journaling spot and a bit of chevron pattern. At the top of the page, I punched a notebook paper edge and added 2 file tabs to reinforce the letter/stationery theme. The arrow at the bottom of the page also highlights the title and serves as a horizontal border tying the page together. While it's non-traditional, this Valentine's Day page adds a kick of color, function and design to the photos + story.
