A sort of uninspired LO, but I wanted to put these pictures somewhere. The writing above the top pictures:
<i>"these little figures were used as counterbalances on scales for trading in the West Indies. I thought they were really cool."</i>
then down where the little coin pouch is:
<i>"We got out some money in Jamaican bills, but we found that most people wanted to be paid in U.S. dollars."</i>
just little travel notes. I have a few coins, totaling about 16 Jamaican dollars in the little purse. That ends up being about 20 cents U.S.
