Free To Be Me - May 2006
Its been 3 years now since I was first diagnosed with bladder cancer. I think that it has taken this long to hit me that, 'I had Cancer'. When I was first diagnosed, of course, it was scary. A million thoughts and fears running through my head. The first being that I wouldn't see my son, Logan, grow up and second that I wouldn't have any more children. I had to be strong, Logan was not going to grow up without his mommy and Craig was not going to do it on his own. I was going to fight it, and I did. Logan is 3 years older and I'm still watching him do his silly little things and yes, we have another son, Carson. I will be here to see my children graduate, get married and have children of their own. I will not let cancer get me. My beautiful children and wonderful husband are the reason's why I fight to survive. I will be here to nag, discipline, play and love them forever and ever.
I love you all, my three boys.
