These are just some of my random thoughts about how I felt and what I learned when my DH lost his job. Journaling reads:
THINGS THAT MY HUSBAND’S JOB LOSS TAUGHT ME:

It’s both embarrassing and expensive to go to the doctor without any health insurance. This country NEEDS some sort of comprehensive health care.

Our friends and families are wonderful people (bringing us food, sending us job listings, offering anything to help out). My sister and her husband even offered their babysitting services and gave us a little spending money to go to the movies.

My marriage is rock-solid. It can withstand a huge crisis like this. I married a good man.

Even though we were pretty well-prepared for something like this, we need to save more and think more about the future.

Cutting back on expenses isn’t as tough as it seems. There are always things that can be trimmed out.

I can scrap with existing stash. I don’t need the latest & greatest. We’re not reinventing the wheel here.

Staying at home can be fun!

This too shall pass.

BTW, since I have gotten several PMs asking, my husband has a new job now.
