Awwwww…..poor baby, my heart breaks for her beginning but so glad she was rescued and will now only know love! Speaking of "love" I love that frame you created around the photos!
Bless you for taking on the challenge of loving Sweetpea. You're more than halfway there if she and Comet are friends. Thanks for posting these lovely photos of her. The sweet pea die cuts are a lovely touch.
Sweetpea came to us very scared. She had a rough life. She had been a breeder at a puppy mill and when she was five she when she came developed pyrometria (a life threatening infection of the uterus) Fortunatly Rileys rescue stepped in and took her. The owner of the puppy mill was going to treat her and was going to out her down. They treated her infections, then spayed her and did a dental and had to remove several teeth as her mouth was a mess. She is scared of people and doesn't like being handled. The rescue thinks she may have been hit at best she was mishandled and until she was five and was rescued had never known kindness from a human. She is coming along slowly but at least she is making progress. She is such a sweet little dog with absolutly no meanness in her. The rescue had named her Sweetpea and we kept it because it suits her she is very sweet. We hope that she can learn to love and trust us and that she will someday forget her start in life. She loves Comet and he loves her. She also loves sleeping curled up in a blanket, her meals and treats. She loves to eat and had an impeccable sense of timing for her meals. She is slowly coming out of her shell and is very good at reminding us when she when it is meal time.
