Sweetpea had made big strides but she is still not comfortable with being handled. We needed a secure harness for her that she could not get out. She is very good on walks but we need to be able to pick her up should there be danger such a s a loose dog. She is so fluffy and has such a thick coat that in order to make a harness tight enough for her not to be able to back out of would mean restricting her movement and making it very uncomfortable for her. I found this one by ruffwear it is meant for rockclimbing and has leg straps so she cannot back out of it. It is very secure and the most escape proof harness I have ever seen. It rated to be able to lift 2000 lbs and since Sweetpea is 12 lbs I am not worried about it breaking! Someday we will graduate to a lighter harness but she has to trust us completely first. In the meantime this works. It does look funny though to see this little dog in such a serious harness. I was testing out my new colop printer and should have printed before I assembled the page that is why the priniting is crooked.
