I wanted this card to have a homespun, country look so I used dotted and gingham background papers. The scallop border in the center is a die cut from Memory Box. I added a strip of yellow washi tape over it for some added contrast. The fancy square die is Spellbinders Lacy Doily Motifs. To create the square frame around the sentiment I used Spellbinders square dies. I cut 4 frames and embossed one of them with the same square dies. I glued all 4 together with the embossed frame on top to create a nice sturdy raised frame. I stamped a greeting on one of the resulting squares that came from creating the frames.. Once I assembled the frame over the sentiment and adhered it to the fancy square I attached it to the card base. I added flowers that were die cut from MFT Bold Blossoms on two opposing sides. A couple of hearts, sequins and white enamel dots on the flowers finished off the card.
