So... I had this old belt buckle... and the "faceplate" (the part that would have been on the drawer that the handle would have attached too). Bent the metal to fit my wrist as best I could, glued the buckle to the top. Used the holes in the faceplate to add some buttons that I threaded some elastic through to help keep it on. A little bit of thinking outside the box!
