For our VBS this year, they are studying the "Armor of God", (and it's all castle themed), so every evening is a new piece of armor. And if they wear it, they get an extra prize. So today was the Breastplate of Righteousness, and the Gospel of Peace (shoes). I made the breastplates today - just cardboard, white spray paint, painters tape for the cross, and then black paint. The swords were gifts from my FIL. Shields and Cody's helmet were from spirit week last school year, and Crispin's helmet is new. They sure had fun walking to the Church all decked out in their knight gear.
