I jumped at the chance to be a part of the GG Morph Project Hop. I was happy to go first because I had the perfect starting point. I feel like my eyes have really been opened up to the inspiration around me. Not only seeing it, but putting it to use….and that's a good feeling! As soon as I saw a tag by Studio Calico (linked below) I thought it would be a great background for a layout. I am out of white cardstock at the time (I know, a tragedy) but luckily I have a good stash of Kraft and that worked great. I first traced my lines lightly with pencil. I spaced the first one 2“ from the top and then the rest 1” apart. Then I machine stitched across them. I didn't have a spool of red thread to machine stitch the vertical line…but it worked out better in the end! I did have some thread (just not the spool kind) so I hand stitched it. I kept all 6 threads together so it would be a thick line. First I traced the line with pencil and then I used a paper piercer to make holes…spacing them as evenly as I could. Then I stitched! I kept the embellishments pretty light because I didn't want to cover up too much of my cool background!—Your next stop on the GG Morph Project Hop is Wilna [twopeasinabucket.com]!Each “stop” on the hop has a prize from the Two Peas warehouse associated with it!
