I was just looking through a stack of photos and saw a picture of Maddox taken last year in kindergarten. I was shocked at how little he looked…yet then I thought of him as a big boy. Made me think of how I am going to look back at his 7 year old pictures one day soon and think how young he once looked, again. It's all about perspective. He seems like a big boy to me, but he's not really.

I made the enlarged photo the main focal of the page. I started with a white background so I could take it any direction (since I wasn't sure when I started.) I grabbed a few papers off a stack and started punching. I folded the circles in half and just adhered one side down randomly. I used a mixture of colors and prints but added in a bit of b/w polka dot too.

For the title I used a couple strips of tape to ground it. I mixed letter stickers and chipboard letters. I added a few fabric borders and sticker borders around the page as well.

And then for the journaling, I wrote right on the photo. I added the metal ‘7’ for a bit of fun and to help draw the eye to the journaling.
