On My Mind (HOF 2005)

This was my favorite layout from my HOF entry last year, but it didn't make it into the book. I've held onto it, hoping to get it published, but have finally come to the conclusion that it's just one of those layouts that would be very difficult to showcase in print. I was so proud of myself when I made it because no one was doing different shaped layouts (other than square or rectangle) at the time. I chose a circle because I felt like my thoughts were just going around and around the same topics over and over again. The way it works…it's two circles–the top piece is a collage of a million photos with a hole cut out…the bottom piece has the journaling, and they're connected by a brad. As you spin the top piece you can read the different sections of things that were “on my mind” in Jan 05. I think it's funny that I even had a “baby” section to document my baby fever. I never in a MILLION YEARS would have guessed that one year later I'd be awaiting the arrival of a baby any day! Thanks for looking!
