Linda, I love the fact that you scrap everyday life events instead of only those one of a kind wonderful photos. I struggle with coming up with new ideas for scrapping the 100th dance picture or school event. I've looked through your gallery and appreciate your creativity.
Keep at it! You've got a great basis. My first pages didn't look like great. Digital gets much faster and easier after you get the learning curve in motion. Don't give up! I'm off to look at your other one now!
This looks great ESPECIALLY since it is your first digi! WOW! :) Are you going to do 2 page LOs or are you just going to do singles? Because I was going to say, that if you do two page spreads, there are a lot of benefits. You can use lots more pictures and you can have a better way of pushing the focal points. For instance, if you were to make this into a 2 page spread, you could pick one photo for the first page (one that adequately summarizes the whole event)and balance it with the title or something and then on the second page distribute the rest of your photos to be balanced with your journaling. As a single page LO, this works very well with the placement and everything and I think you did a great job! :)
Linda, I don't see anything wrong with your brad. Maybe its just my old eyes. Its destressed around that area, and it looks like it is placed well to me. Love the colors and the flow.
great job on '3d'izing the LO - the drop shadows realy add definition to the LO & your choice of materials - great!!
you'll get the hang of it - its always trial & error anyway - but when you come up with good results like this - its worth it!
This is a great page. I would have never known it was your second attempt at digi had you not said it. I love the flowers and the water drops on them. Great page!
Beautiful. I see what you mean about the brad. I still say to zoom in. The flowers are great - and I love your picture placement. This lo really flows!
I'd say you've got the talent - just stick with it!
This is so cool! Love the pics although they are blurry. They remind me a lot when I used to training swimming and I was totally swimming queen :D Gr8 work. TFS!
Some of the photos aren't too good in this layout but I wanted to scrap it for my grandaughter. It's my second digital. Don't ever believe for one minute that digital is easy...I'm really struggling here but determined to learn it. Please critique.
