Neat! This reminds me of a school project I had as a kid. You color with a bunch of different shades and then go over it with black crayon...or maybe it was black paint...and then scratch it off. Super idea. very creative.
I applied the crackle medium really thick because I wanted large cracks, and I used a foam brush to paint it on. I let the crackle dry to the touch for about an hour before I used painted on the top coat using my foam brush.
I practiced on a another piece of wood and I liked the effect using the foam brush v/s the bristle brush.
All I have to do now is let it sit and finish drying for 24 hours and then spray with a clear sealer. (the cracks have grown since I took this pic LOL!)
