This LO is serving double duty. One is for the Never Ending Scraplift Challenge and the other as a past catch-up LO for my BOM, The home you grew up in.

I lifted this idea from d7piazza's "Grandma's House". It reminded me so much of when I was little and our pictures were taken in front of the house.

I also got an idea for hidden journaling from Octopusouphut. The left lower picture is attached with a brad, and the leaf stem helps hold it in place too. When the pic is slid downwards the folded hidden journaling is there. The journaling reads:
The first house I remember living in when I was growing up was at 1619 3rd Avenue. I lived there for about 6 years. It was painted blue with white trim. My Paw-Paw had two buildings in the back yard. One housed his parakeets and the other was his shop. He tinkered with old clocks and old radios. To keep me out of the backyard while he was in his shop he would put a dead lizard on the top backdoor step and I wouldn’t open the door let alone go out there. There wasn’t enough room in the backyard for my swing set so it was put in the front yard.

The second house was at 818 22nd Street. I still remember my old phone number it was 323-2267. I lived there until December 5, 1977. I moved back in two times after that, once when my granny passed away and again when I was pregnant with my daughter. The house was painted white with black trim. I hated that old house when we first moved in, but loved it after I made friends with the kids in the neighborhood. The ceilings were 12 feet tall and the living room was the only room that had a light switch to turn on the lights. In all the other rooms, a light bulb socket hang from the ceiling buy an electric cord, not an extension cord but the actual cord electricity was running through. Strings were added to the off-on chain so I turn the lights on or off. The walls were made of plaster and often large cracks would appear that had to be patched. It was a cold house in the winter and a hot one in the summer. Best of all my Grandparents made sure there was a lot of love in that house for everyone.

Both houses have been torn down and other buildings have gone up in there place, but I will always have the memories of growing up there.
