Journaling reads: You must have heard this saying at a young age, because you have been eating dirt and licking rocks for over a year now. At first I thought that maybe it was just a funny boy thing that you were doing, but Dad convinced me that I should talk to your pediatrician about it. So I did, and she ordered some blood tests to check your iron levels. Turns out, they were all really low, and so she started you on some extra iron drops. Whether this is really pica or just a funny little boy thing, we don’t know yet, but we are trying to break you of your dirt eating and rock licking habits!
