This was for the Elsie challenge #22 you were supposed to repeat a word in your journaling for impact. I kind of cheated a bit and instead of journaling used some of the lyrics from a Nickleback song "If everyone cared". It's a song that's stuck in my mind since my husband deployed and the words just seem very fitting. We took the pic at Tybee Island the day before he left. Printed the lyrics on transparency paper then painted behind all the "if"s to highlight. Part of the lyrics I used : IF everyone cared and nobody cried IF everyone loved and nobody lied IF everyone shared and swallowed their pride then we'd see the day when nobody died and in the air the fireflies Our only light in paradise We'll show the world they were wrong And teach them all to sing along and as we lie beneath the stars We realize how small we are IF they could love like you and me Imagine what the world could be IF everyone cared and nobody cried IF everyone loved and nobody lied IF everyone shared and swallowed their pride Then we'd see the day when nobody died When nobody died...
