this a this a pic of my and my bf on our second christmas together, i really wanted to do a layout this christmas as last year i wasnt a scrapbooker and i dont have any pics from then!
its the first LO ive done in a quite a while having took some time to actually learn what equipment is out there and ive been learning lots of new techniques! i do think it shows in comparison with my older LO's :)
its also the first time ive had a go at doing something vintage. ive finally bought some tim holtz distress ink and as u can see i went a bit mad! i had to travel miles to get my hands on one (they are very hard to find in England!) it is SO addictive to use!
the netting in the bottom corner is a piece of net curtain that i got dirt cheap at my local textile store and the pearls on it are off a necklace that snapped while i was in a hobbycraft shop!
im a fan of taking colours and objects from my pics and putting them onto the LO so i used a tartan ribbon to match my dress and the key matches my necklace. ive seen a few key embellies before but they were all silver and expensive, plus they didnt look old, so i made my own by bending a paperclip of all things into shape and then i covered it with papier mache!!!! when it had dried i painted it black and finally added a few touches of gold paint to give it an antiquey look!
the musical scroll was totally scraplifted off 2dogs, she is an amazing scrapper and i thank her for allowing to steal it!!
