This April we went to visit Manuel's grandma in the Northern part of Western Germany (Wilhelmshaven) and she lent us her car for the day so that we could really explore the area. We had an amazing time, but my absolute favourite thing was that Manuel took me to see the North Sea - it was freezing, winding, and slightly wet (hence my blue misting that looks like a rain cloud) but being that I come from a small island in Canada, I was just SO happy to be close to the ocean, no matter how cold it was. The journaling down the side are lyrics to a song that is exactly how I feel about the ocean. They're from a song by Jon & Roy called "By The Sea".

"I'm not right or wrong, when I say
That it's better down near the bay
Here I'll lay and I'll stay
Til I reach another day
Down along the shore, where the grass grows
Where my thoughts move so slow
I don't have to know, where I should be
'Cause here, my thoughts are free
Empty shells, act as bells
And the wind brings the swells
All the smells of the sea
Awaken a fine part of me"
