This is a layout from my birthday yesterday (dec 13), journaling a surprise from my husband.
Journaling reads:
"You, my dear, are an amazing husband. You never cease to amaze me. And this, my 28th birthday, was no exception. It was painfully obvious that you had something up your sleeve, but just this once I decided not to push the envelope and just see how things played out and what kind of tricks you had planned for this day. I was also very aware of your coalition with Rachel, as her face doesn't hide much, but she was very good about not telling me a single detail. However, bringing me 2 tired little cookies from Ed's bakery was the biggest clue she could've given me. Why did she do that? I knew then that I was gonna get a cake from Ed's...and although you acted like you didn't know what I was talking about (as did Rachel), I knew there were more pieces to the puzzle that I wouldn't get until show time. So we ate pizza, and then the waitress slipped up and asked if we were ready to "bring it out" yet. Ha! I was right! I knew you guys were up to something! So out came the white box that contained my cake...and after everyone but me got to see it, I was shocked when I finally did. To my surprise, you had Rachel take a picture of our wedding cake to the bakery and had him re-create a layer, as my birthday cake. When you asked me if I knew where the look of this cake came from, I said of course! It's our wedding cake! And then came the confession about taking a picture out of a frame in our bedroom (next to the tv and I never even noticed!), and it was gone for a couple days. You and Rachel are so sneaky! I appreciate it with all my heart! I'm so lucky to have a romantic husband like you. Just know that payback is a you-know-what!"
