This is my three boys, Joshua, Adam, and Benjamin, with two of their friends, Russell and Luke. (Note: those little "Air Soft" guns pack quite a sting!!!) LOL!

Journaling reads: "You boys had such a great time playing “war” with your Air Soft guns. We were in the process of building Ma and Papa Skip’s new house next door and you all thought it made a great prop for your game. Joshua and Russell soon claimed the house as theirs and were “camping” and picking off Adam, Benjamin and Luke! I had such a great time watching you all have fun! When I came across these pics, they reminded me of a movie that came out in 1983. It was called War Games and starred Matthew Broderick as a teen named David. In the movie, David, a young computer whizz kid, accidentally connects into a top secret super-computer which has complete control over the U.S. nuclear arsenal. The computer, which happens to be named “Joshua”, challenges David to a game between America and Russia, which innocently starts the countdown to World War III. The computer eventually is convinced to play out all possible outcomes of the game and ‘learns’ that there could be no winner. The quotes on these pages are from the movie." September 2005

The quotes (on red) at the bottom read:
Joshua: “Shall we play a game?”
David: “What is the primary goal?”
Joshua: “To win the game.”

Joshua: “Which side do you want?”
David: “I’ll be the Russians.”

Joshua: “A strange game. The only
winning move is not to play.”

I used several punches on this - the border punch is by EK Success, the square and rectangles are Fiskars, the "holes" are done with EK Success swiss cheese border punch, then I added doodles to make them look like bullet holes. The barbed wire below the photo and the army men are clear stickers, the men are mounted on white, cut out and pop dotted. Some of the squares and rectangles in the border are pop dotted to add dimension. The title lettering is all handcut, matted, doodled and pop dotted. The "barbed wire" is hand doodled. The date is stamped. The pps are from BG Wander. The background paper is a textured cs that is made to be sanded. If you look closely around the edges, you will see where I've sanded it a bit. All of the photos are also sanded around the edges. The square photo is triple matted and pop dotted. The design is based on a sketch by Page Maps. Sorry for the bad pic - tried about 15 shots and just couldn't get it straight or perfectly clear! Thanks so much for looking!
