The start of a new year. A time of relection of memories. Some of laughter, some of tears. The history of resolutions is ancient, as Roman myth relates looking to their enemies for forgiveness. A universal theme is embodied in New Years' traditions, that of a clean slate. Now is my time to look forward, here is my resolution to my self, my family, and my world."

Under the vellum is a photo of me and my written resolutions. " 1) to find joy in each day - a state of happiness or source of delight. 2) to make the album I've been putting off - to record the events of last year. 3) to find a place of service in church - to be involved and connected."

Under that is typed, " I have read that there are years when nothing happens and there are years in which centuries happen. I hope for the first, and pray to be carried through the latter if need be." Then my signature.
