LOve the way you journaled and left pertinent info for the heritage factor. And bravo for your DH!!!! About the color changes that happen when you scan.....it is the dyes and pigments used in the color process of your embellishments. The paint has opacity in it in order to cover...the paper is dyed and therefore has a different opacity. When the scanner goes over the layout on the scan bed a light is flashed onto the image....some colors will reflect the light (orange star) and others will absorb more of the light (paints).
This is pg 6 of my dh's album. The orange star for some reason came out bright orange when in fact it's the same colour as the paint that's splattered on the page. I have no idea why it comes across like this when being scanned. TFL.
