Oh I was just at the Arboretum and they have a huge area of just ornamental grasses like that. One clump was 9 feet tall and I couldn't reach the top of many others, love these grasses.

a wonderful plant! I think they are a type of Pompas Grass, not all of them have the wonderful plumes though. I bought a smaller purple-ish variety this year and so far it is very happy in my garden, this kind with the plumes is still on my I need one of those list. lovely shot.

What pretty plumes!! I have so much of this type of grass. Time to cut it back soon. Last year I left it all winter and by spring the birds had wrecked it and it ended up all over my yard. Won't happen again this year! =}

pretty grass. I have one similar that my neighbor accidentally planted on our property and then instead of moving it he said we could have it so I get to move it where I want.
