Jackson at the Soccer Banquet tonight. It was the COOLEST thing! The Varsity Coach was introducing all of the kids (5) who had been ball boys throughout the season (mostly for the JV team) - he read off all of the names and the boys came up and received a little soccer ball that the guys on the team and coaches had signed. He called for Austin, Colby and 2 other boys... then paused... and said, "And then we come to the last boy. This boy we like to call the Captain of the Ball Boys...this boy who runs the hardest, knows what he's supposed to do and where he's supposed to be... this boy who bosses all of the other ball boys around and tells THEM what they're supposed to be doing and where they're supposed to be - I really think this kid will grow up to be the President of the United States one day. So here he is - the Captain of the Ball Boys for the Marble Falls High School soccer team - Jackson Cox!" (...I wondered how he KNEW that, at 8 years old, Jackson had already decided he wanted to be President...and was going to get there via a soccer scholarship to Harvard, a law degree while there, then onto politics? Hmmm...so I asked the coach afterward if I had ever told him Jackson wanted to be President. He said "No, I can just tell. And I can say I knew him!")
