I love this, my Dad posed for the same shot on the horse. Back in those days photographers would go from door to door to make their living doing these shots....wow, how the times have changed! We all have our own cameras & can print them out! This is really special, GREAT WORK!
VERY NICE!!! I love the background paper...when you were explaining it I thought it was the same paper that I have but I was wrong. Way cute!! I love the old pics....Mike on the horse is great!! Nice paint job!
Heres the first LO ive done of REALLLY old pics.. they r the scanned copies but i loved the look. this is my husbands father, mike, in the late 50's and early 60's! i got this background from a zany zinnia kit i ordered (lazy days) and it totally inspired me the minute i saw it!
in the top pic where mike is sittin on a car, that was actually his dads 1959 ford! can u see the detail in the doors? wow.. and that was his house in the background :)
the title is from cardboard. i painted an american flag with acrylic paints and cut the letters out. made this funky title with it. :)
quote on beige circle reads, " what we have to expect of the American boy is that he shall grow to be a good American man. -theodore roosevelt"
