So beautiful and very touching. The hankie makes it absolutely perfect. Thanks for sharing their story. My grandparents passed w/in two months of each other...my grandfather went just a few days before her birthday. He would never miss being with his best girl on her special day.
This LO is my grandparents who passed away three years ago. I have been wanting to do one for a while but just did not have the inspiration until two things happened. One, I heard the Brad Paisley song,"Waiting on a Woman" that just captured it all. My grandparents met in the 1920's but waited to get married ten years. Grandma said it was cause her mom didn't think Grandpa was a good match cause he was from a broken home. Needless to say this set the pattern for Grandpa was waiting on this woman for the rest of his life. She would be the last to the car, the last one to pass away. The second inspiration was the layout by Ingrid G called, "Grandparents". It was a perfect LO for mine. I had to adapt it a bit as my photo was a bit bigger but it turned out pretty good. I used a hankie that Grandma had given me a long time ago, hoping I would use it on my wedding day. I had intended to but someone moved the box with it in it and it never made it to the wedding which quite bothered me...
