Journalling: Pastor Alex announced we'd have communion today. I invited Jeremy to join in communion if he wanted; initially it was a “not this time but maybe next month.” And then suddenly he stood up, faced me, said that yes today was the day, and plunked himself in my lap. He took time to pray and really gave some time to God. I told Scott that Jeremy was going to take comunion and that he was welcome to join us also if he wanted. Having Jeremy lead the way made it the right time for Scott to choose to participate, too. Jeremy was so focused and excited, he strode up to where communion would be served before the communion servers, the Giles, were even there. Jeremy was the first served, and we all enjoyed that, including the Giles. Scott had me take comunion second, with him next and Dad right after. I felt filled up, thankful, and happy for the whole service. The boys' first comunion was something I'd longed for for years. For my boys to freely choose trusting in Jesus as Lord.
