This is a 2 page layout I did about when my great nephew was born. We 'kidnapped' him and set off all the alarms. They do have a good security system which I am glad for. : ) Journaling read:
Evan Parker Parsons was born on May 18th 2009 at 1:28 PM. The night after he was born we asked to have him brought to the room so Michelle could feed him and we could spend some time with him. We decided to go downstairs and instead of bothering the nurses we decided to take Evan back to the nursery. We wheeled him in his isolette down the hallway and I told Michelle we needed to be careful because I knew he had a special bracelet on his ankle so he could not be taken anywhere. However we were still on the labor and delivery floor so I did not think anything was wrong. We went through a set of automatic doors and I saw a flashing light and instantly knew we had set off some type of alarm. The second set of doors were going shut that led to the nurses station where we had been taking Evan and while they were still open (about 15 inches) I quickly wheeled him through the doors so I could let them know everything was okay and no one was stealing a baby. As I came around the corner I was met by a not so nice nurse that told me we cannot take the babies out of the room. Duh! They had failed to tell us that or we would not have done it. They told some people that were leaving that they would have to wait as the doors were locked down and would not open for about 5 minutes. So while were still in hot water with the not so nice nurse we were met by our floor nurse and she told us that we need to tell them if we want to take the baby out. Well we weren’t told that...... SORRY! She said next time to call and tell them and I told her, “Don’t worry, there would not be a next time” because I would not do that again. I would call and have them come and get him. We walked out of the doors and were greeted by the other nurse and she was standing there with her arms crossed but didn’t really say anything. So we tried to steal a baby…but it was our baby…and we can attest to the fact that their system works very well.
