This is my daughter, sister and niece in Mackinac. We took my daughter and niece there for their first visit last summer. Growing up, we made regular trips to the island and it was so much fun getting to take them close! The weather was really bad so we only made it as far as the fort. Maybe next summer we'll get to the island :o)
I made this for two challenges:
1. Use Your Supplies challenge, to use thread, ribbon, fiber. I used ribbon and thread. Everything on the page was scraps, except the Graphic 45 background page. Even the flowers are made with left-over leaves from this layout: http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/89090/view/1674907/-1/4.html
2. Doodle challenge. I tried to doodle some swirls but I'm so not happy with them. I was using some brush tip ink pens to color them in and the ink gushed out... luckily not all over the paper. But it turned out much darker then I wanted... the color is from a pale yellow pen :o)
