Just sharing two little pages I created with Donna Salazar's new paper lines from Product Performers!! The papers lend themselves to any theme and work beautifully with black and white or sepia tone photos, like these ones of my family by Gypsy Isle Photography.

A while back Donna was talking about my style and she said she thought of paint because I use it alot -- this was right after we completed our Lucky 13 circle journal, on canvas, where I did use alot of paint. At first I was like, "Me? Paint?...You must be thinking of Candice McLean!" But then I realized, I DO use paint a lot! LOL Sometimes the things we think about ourselves can be so off from reality or what others perceive. And yes, I guess I do like paint ;)
On the layout above I used some white paint to distress the edges of the page, then stamped on that with one of Donna's new stamps with Colorbox Chalk Ink in Charcoal (gives a nice soft look), and added faux stitching with a pen around the perimeter of the page. I've always liked drawing lines around my pages and elements but at Reflections this month in Kelly Goree's class I learned that all of her "stitching" for her Basic Grey samples is faux -- I think it looks so real because she does very small lines as stitches. So I did my best impression of short little lines -- I am impatient so some of them are kinda big ;)
