Love that the layout is colorful but that the colors are soft! Also that you did a before and after shot and included yourself in the layout! Cute title!
I love your use of the cover sheet behind the picture. Great use of the items u used for the turkey. Btw I consider Alton Brown a great teacher & love his Good Eats show.
I'm impressed. I'm been roasting turkeys for over 40 years and yours is perfect! I'll have to try to locate that recipe. Pretty layout and great subject to scrap. I love it on that paper too!
Congrats on your turkey!....I make everything BUT the turkey---(ewwww!),,,anyway...so cool that you used part of the turkey casing for the broom...patience using that signo to do the dots!-looks great!...NICE LO Lesley!
I made my first turkey this Thanksgiving -- it turned out perfect! I used Alton Brown's recipe, which I highly recommend. :) (For those who don't know, Alton Brown hosts "Good Eats" on Food Network, hence my page title.) DH actually said, "You better scrap this turkey - it's that good!" :)
I was originally going to use the turkey bag as a mask but that didn't work out so well. So I turned it into a mock hay broom embellie, anchored with a Studio Calico chippie and some kitchen twine from the roll I used to tie the turkey. The twine is also around the first pic and the chippie tag at the bottom right. The colored strip behind the photos is a scrap from another LO - it's cut from the cover sheet in the Bella Blvd "Thankful" pack. Then I took my Signo and went over the raised dots to make a border.
Sorry for the bad crop job. No matter what I did, I couldn't crop this straight without cutting off the border, so I had to leave in a little of the floor tile in the background.
