I remember those days when all the 3rd graders had to buy one and practice at home. I was so glad I only had two kids.

LOL! Of course all my kids had to learn the recorder in elementary. So glad that is over. None like it and only one of my kids chose band (and that was stopped after she broke her arm as she played the french horn). All the kids got mad at me when I called it a flutophone. That's what they were called when I was in school.

G opening her favorite B-day gift, a recorder. I can't wait until we can get a tune out of it. Now it's just a long shrill note. G is practicing, for what seems like, many many hours a day. :) That's what I get, I chose the gift.
