Quick and easy one of ds and one of his favorite amusements! Journaling reads:

Here’s a mystery for you…can you tell what this object is? A hint from my own childhood - we lovingly referred to it as a dododo (you know, put it up to your mouth and say “do-dodo” so that it echoes through the tube)….a term that can also be applied to an empty toilet paper or paper towel roll but in this case, the roll from wrapping paper. I’m not sure when this object became one of your most treasured possessions. An educated guess would date it circa Christmas time. So, I’m assuming at this point that it’s around 7 months old. A long life for an old cardboard roll. It long ago began to unravel like a popped open can of crescent rolls but that hasn’t stopped you from twirling it around over your head and giggling hysterically when I bonk you over the head with it. Ah, the simple joys of childhood. I’ll spare you the layout of you playing with empty boxes and crumpled paper but just know one day when I refuse your request for some ridiculously overpriced hunk of neon plastic that those were once amazingly entertaining as well!

Thanks for looking!
.
